Robin Krasniqi stops Hakim Zoulikha in 12th

WBO European light heavyweight beltholder Robin Krasniqi (37-2, 13 KOs) scored a twelfth round TKO over Hakim Zoulikha (16-3, 8 KOs) on Saturday night at the Maritim Hotel in Magdeburg, Germany. The bout looked to be headed to a decision when WBO #6 Krasniqi landed a crushing right hand that rocked Zoulikha and he got the stoppage with a furious follow up barrage. Time was 1:55.

Earlier, IBF #7/WBO #11 light heavyweight Denis Simcic (27-1, 14 KOs) won a ten round unanimous decision over Tomas Adamek (17-6-1, 7 KOs) by scores of 98-92, 97-93, 97-93. A steady but workmanlike performance by Simcic against the Czech namesake of the two-division Polish champion with the same name.

During the fight build-up, promoter Ulf Steinforth stated that he has already had talks about a title shot with the camp of WBO champion Nathan Cleverly and with both Krasniqi and Simcic rated by the WBO, tonight’s performances will show who is the leading the way. If that’s the case, it was a big night for Krasniqi.
Unbeaten heavyweight Francesco Pianeta (25-0-1, 14 KOs) scored a one-sided eight round unanimous decision over Zack Page (21-38-2, 7 KOs). Pianeta dropped Page in round one and went on to a shutout score of 80-71 on all cards.

Cruiserweight Dennis Ronert moved to 11-0, 9 KOs after a third round knockout over Armen Arizian.
